Being Two

There is nothing in the world like a two year old, and Camden spent the week being very, very two. Here is a list of why I love my two year old:
Camden has an incredibly large vocabulary, but because he speaks so fast and in such a two year old way, I feel like I am always saying, "What???" And he gets incredibly frustrated if I don't understand him and looks at me like, "Are you kidding me mom? Surely you must know what I am referring to!"
I love how incredibly excited Camden gets when he sees trucks and motorcycles on the freeway. I just wish he would stop screaming "TRUCK" when he sees one, or one of these days he just may get a closer view.
I love that two year olds are not easily embarrassed and are very proud of their accomplishments. For example, when my mom took us to a nice restaurant for lunch the other day, Cam came running out of the bathroom and shouted to everyone within earshot "I went poops in the potty!" Yeah, that one came out nice and clear. And loud.
Two year olds are the most intelligent people on the planet, and they know that because they are two, and they are cute, they can get away with just about anything by either turning on their charm or screaming at the top of their lungs. Both are incredibly annoying and incredibly effective. Camden also has learned that if I am not in the room and he starts crying, his siblings will likely be blamed for whatever just happened. Even if they aren't home.
Two year olds are very independent, and mine wants to do everything himself. Including pour his own juice, put on his own shoes, close all the doors in the house, and drive. Which is why all this week I was a good ten minutes late to everything. Not because I let him drive, but because everything that I won't let him do leads to a minor delay in our day involving lots of tears (mostly by mommy) and a few time outs (again, mostly by mommy).
Don't you just love two year olds? Seriously though, Cam is scarily cute and a charmer. We are in huge trouble. His new favorite thing is to say something he thinks is funny or cute, and then cock his head and giggle, which we then laugh at and he says "I sooo funny". My little monkey already wants to be the class clown. Pray for us!
